In Q1/2020, the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic and the appreciation of the USD made raw materials for livestock production in Vietnam soar, feed prices in Vietnam were under a lot of pressure. At the beginning of the year, animal feed inventories were still high but the growth rate slowed down, dropping sharply from 60.5% at the end of 2019 to 9.7% in Q1/2020 due to the effects of the Covid-19 epidemic.

It is forecasted that there will be many difficulties in the upcoming animal feed industry, especially in the process of transporting raw materials due to strict quarantine measures and restricting travel to control epidemics.
