The price of imported pharmaceutical raw materials experienced many sharp fluctuations in the first 3 months of the year due to the complicated international socio-economic situation.

In the first 3 months of 2022, Vietnam imported more than 850 million USD in pharmaceuticals of all kinds, up X% over the same period in 2021. The EU market remained a key import partner for Vietnam, with a proportion of X% of total pharmaceutical import turnover. Following that were markets such as the United States, India, and South Korea.
Import turnover of pharmaceutical raw materials in the first quarter in Vietnam reached X million, down X% over the same period last year. China & India remained the two main import markets of Vietnam's raw materials, accounting for a total of X% market share.
Vietnam's pharmaceutical market is expected to gradually recover in 2022 as the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic lessens or even brings some positive benefits. Pharmaceutical demand is expected to rise in the context that Vietnam is living with the epidemic, since new strains of the disease emerge on a regular basis
