CYP2C19*2 (G681A) and CYP2C19*3 (G636A) are the most common genetic variation types in the population, both of which cause enzyme activity loss, resulting in three phenotypes of rapid metabolism (EM), intermediate metabolism (IM) and slow metabolism (PM) in the population. Studies have shown that CYP2C19 is involved in the formation of active metabolites and intermediate metabolites of clopidogrel. The pharmacokinetics and antiplatelet effects of clopidogrel active metabolites vary with different CYP2C19 genotypes. After taking conventional doses of clopidogrel, patients with CYP2C19 slow metabolizers (PM) have reduced production of active metabolites in the body and reduced inhibitory effects on platelets. The human CYP2C19 gene polymorphism detection kit provides a reference for the clinical use of clopidogrel by detecting the two sites of human CYP2C19 gene G681A and G636A.
