A Superconducting Magnetic Resonance Instrument (SMRI) is a type of scientific instrument that uses superconducting materials to generate high-intensity magnetic fields for the purpose of studying materials and biological samples.

The principle behind an SMRI is based on Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR), a technique that uses the magnetic properties of atomic nuclei to study the structure and properties of molecules.
