Pulse wave sphygmomanometer is a sphygmomanometer that uses advanced technology to measure blood pressure in a non-invasive manner. Unlike traditional sphygmomanometer that use cuff and stethoscope to measure blood pressure, pulse wave sphygmomanometer use sensors placed on wrists or fingers to measure pulse wave velocity and then calculate blood pressure. The working principle of this device is to emit a small pulse of light, which is absorbed by blood vessels in the fingers or wrists. Then, the light is reflected back to the sensor, which detects changes in pulse wave velocity caused by blood movement in the blood vessels. Then use this information to calculate blood pressure.
