1. INTRODUCTION
Medical rehabilitation, as an important part in medical services, can be taken advantage of, to increase the utilization efficiency and profit of medical resources.
In 2015, there were about 17 thousand general hospitals in China, with the total revenue of RMB1.7 trillion, beds 162 thousand, inpatients 26.64 million and discharged patients 1.88 million. There were about 3.7 million health technical personnel, including 1.23 million licensed and assistant physicians, 1.79 million registered nurses, 178 thousand pharmacists and 200 thousand technicians in general hospitals. In 2021, it is predicted that the health technical personnel in general hospitals will break five million. In 2015, there were about 450 rehabilitation hospitals in China, with the total revenue of around RMB5.6 billion, beds 45,000, bed turnovers about 12 times, bed utilization nearly 70%, inpatients 7.4 million and discharged patients of 550 thousand or so. In rehabilitation hospitals, there were health technical personnel of 26.7 thousand, including more than 8,000 licensed and assistant physicians, 11,000 registered nurses, 1,370 pharmacists, and 1,272 technicians. In 2021, the health technical personnel in rehabilitation hospitals will reach 60,000.
In 2015, after implementing key medical rehabilitation projects, about 7.55 million disabled patients have been received rehabilitation service in China. There were about 7,000 rehabilitation institutions for the disabled, including 2,599 ones built by the China Disabled Persons’ Federation.
