UAV LiDAR Mapping (UAV LiDAR Mapping) is a high-precision spatial mapping technology that integrates unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) platforms, LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) technology, GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System, such as Beidou and GPS), and IMUs. Its core principle is to use a UAV-mounted LiDAR sensor to emit high-frequency laser pulses toward the ground or target scene, receive the pulses after they reflect off objects, and combine the drone's real-time position information provided by GNSS with attitude (angle, acceleration) data recorded by the IMU. The system then calculates the three-dimensional coordinates from the sensor to the target point through "time-distance" calculations. Ultimately, this massive amount of three-dimensional coordinate points is aggregated to form a point cloud model.
