A superconducting quantum chip is a quantum hardware that uses superconducting circuits to construct quantum bits (qubits) and implement quantum computing operations. The chip is usually made of materials that exhibit zero resistance at extremely low temperatures (less than 20 millikelvin), and relies on core components such as the Josephson Junction to introduce nonlinearity in the circuit, thereby forming a controllable quantum energy level structure. Superconducting bit types include Transmon, Flux qubit, Phase qubit, etc., all of which can achieve high-speed quantum gate manipulation and quantum entanglement through microwave pulses. Compared with other physical implementation methods, superconducting quantum chips have the advantages of fast gate operation speed, easy micro-nano processing, and strong integration. It is one of the most promising quantum computing platforms for industrialization. Superconducting chips can couple multiple bits on the same chip through a quantum bus, providing an engineering basis for achieving fault-tolerant quantum computing, but still face technical challenges such as decoherence, error accumulation, and error correction complexity.
