In 2025, global High-thread Lidar production reached approximately 1.69 million units with an average global market price of around US$350 per unit. High-thread Lidar is a liDAR system with multiple transmitting and receiving channels, capable of simultaneously transmitting laser beams in multiple vertical directions and receiving reflected signals to generate high-density three-dimensional point cloud data. The thread count is usually more than 16 lines, and can even reach higher levels such as 64 or 128 lines. This liDAR can provide a more refined environment perception ability, suitable for automatic driving, robot navigation, three-dimensional modeling and other applications requiring high-precision and high-resolution three-dimensional information.

Huawei took the lead in releasing 896-line and over 500-thread lidar, with Voyah and other high-end models planning to debut with them, marking the evolution of products towards ultra-high line counts and image-grade resolution.
