In Q1/2020, paper production reached 1,051 million tons. In particular, except for printing and writing paper, other types of paper have experienced an increase in output in the first 3 months of 2020. Paperboard, packaging paper account for the largest proportion of Vietnam's total paper production. The male accounts for 83.86%, the second is printing and writing paper with the proportion of 6.86%. Finally, tissue paper and votive paper with the proportion of 5.9% and 3.38% respectively. Paper consumption in Q1/2020 reached 1,182 million tons, of which packaging paper still accounted for the largest proportion of consumption with 74.38% (equivalent to 879.45 thousand tons), ranked second was written paper with consumption reaching 128.31. thousand tons, equivalent to 10.85%. Except for tissue paper, which tends to increase, the consumption of the remaining types of paper from the beginning of the year to the end of March 2020 has decreased.
