1. INTRODUCTION

Waste from Electrical and Electronic Equipment, hereinafter referred to as WEEE, refers to discarded electric and electronic products and unqualified products, components, oddments, etc. during production. In 2014, around 41.8 million tons of WEEE such as discarded computers, mobile phones, household electronic devices, etc. was released worldwide, and the number is increasing.

In China, the recycle volume of five major WEEE reached 135.83 million units, which equals to 310,000 tons. It is estimated that by 2020, WEEE recycled will reach 6.92 million tons. It demonstrates great opportunities for WEEE recycling industry.
