The polarizing beam splitting cube for laser is made of a pair of UV fused silica right-angle prisms glued together. The inclined surface of a right-angle prism is coated with a spectroscopic film designed for the working wavelength. The incident light is split into two orthogonal linearly polarized beams, p-polarized light is transmitted, and s-polarized light is reflected. Each surface of the cube is coated with a V-shaped dielectric film to minimize surface reflection loss.
