LEU (Lineside Electronic Unit, ground electronic unit) is a safety-related equipment for data acquisition and processing units. It provides an interface between the signal system and the transponder, that is, it provides an interface between the train control center and the transponder (including C interface and S interface), its main functions are: receiving messages sent by the train control center and continuously forwarding them to the transponder; when the input channel fails, the LEU sends a pre-stored default message to the transponder; when a train passes the active transponder When it is above, the LEU does not convert new messages within a certain period of time; one LEU can send 4 different messages and equipment self-test and event records to 4 active transponders at the same time.
