An in-situ Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectrometer is an instrument capable of real-time monitoring of molecular structural changes during chemical reactions. It measures the absorption or transmission of infrared light by a sample as the infrared beam is irradiated into the reaction system, thereby obtaining information about the molecular vibrations of reactants, intermediates, and products. In-situ FTIR spectrometers are widely used in chemistry, biology, materials science, and other fields to study catalytic reactions, electrochemical processes, biomolecular interactions, and more.

The in-situ infrared spectrometer is an in-situ mid-infrared spectroscopic system that analyzes the reaction change process in real time. It can monitor the process characteristics of raw materials, products, and intermediates in the reaction vessel, helping experimenters to accurately obtain key parameters such as reaction component concentration, reaction rate, and impurity formation, and deeply study the reaction mechanism. It has the advantages of high resolution, high signal-to-noise ratio, high stability, ultra-fast scanning, and wide wavelength range. The software supports baseline calibration, data visualization processing, and automated kinetic analysis. It is widely used in fine chemicals, pharmaceuticals, materials, petroleum, food and other fields.

At present, there are manufacturers of in-situ infrared spectrometers both at home and abroad. Foreign brands such as Bruker in Germany, Thermo in the United States, Perkinelmer in the United States, and Jasco in Japan have relatively mature technologies. Relatively mature domestic manufacturers and domestic enterprises still mainly imitate imported products in product design. Core components such as beam splitters and detectors still need to be imported.
