Hydraulic rail vibration dampers are passive elements that are fixed to both sides of the rail web to reduce air borne noise caused by vibrating rail. They are usually installed between every tie in problem areas of track. It is a device designed to absorb and reduce shock impulses incurred when a railcar is in motion. Hydraulic dampers play an important role in all wagons, locomotives and wagons. These dampers help the train to run in a safe and comfortable manner, providing passengers with a smooth ascent. This device belongs to the main suspension of the railway bogie and bears the weight of the train. Railway hydraulic dampers make train motion almost slip through friction and wear, and reduce insignificant vibrations.
