All iron flow batteries are energy storage batteries that can convert electrical energy into chemical energy for storage, and then convert chemical energy into electrical energy for release when needed. The advantages of iron flow batteries determine their broad development prospects.

The direct application of all-iron flow batteries is renewable energy storage. Renewable energy sources such as wind power and solar energy are intermittent and difficult to accurately predict. As a renewable energy storage device, all-iron flow batteries can convert difficult-to-regulate electric energy into valuable electric energy. All-iron flow batteries not only have the function of ?peak shaving and valley filling?, but also can ensure the safe operation of the power grid.
