Decision making refers to the rational process of making choice among two or more than two alternatives or options so that to have the most suitable options on the basis of the resources, need of the decision maker and the information the decision makers have. It is cognitive process that results in choice of a faith or a course of activities between the different alternative options. How people take decisions depend on the many factors as people take decisions on the basis of the information they have, the ability of processing the information and using it in a useful manners, the financial and other resources availability, the need of the decision, the requirement of the situation etc. Some decision makers are directed in their decisions and do not involve others in their decision making process but some decision makers do well with other and involve the other people also in the decision making process.
