Analysis of Auditor’s Report for Kuwaiti Companies
The selected companies for the analysis of the audit report include Zain Telecom, Viva Telecom, Kuwait Food Company Americana, Kuwait International Bank and Boubyan Bank. Zain group is a leading telecommunication company of the Kuwait. It was introduced in 1983 in Kuwait as Mobile Telecom Company and then in 2007 it alters its name with the Zain Telecom Company in the Kuwait. Zain Telecom is a major telecom brand of the gulf region and also operates in North African zone with 44.3 million active customers around the globe. The corporation has almost more than 7000 full time employees (Zain, 2016). Viva Telecom is also a telecom company of the Kuwait. It holds prominent 37% of the market share. The innovative feature of the Viva Telecom in Kuwait is the introduction of the speedy 4G LTE in the country (Viva, 2016). Americana Food Company is a food corporation in the Middle East and operates successfully in the Kuwait. It deals in restaurants, food business, fast food and consumer products and it has various branches as KFC, Pizza Hut, TGIF’s, Krispy Kreme and Hardee’s (Americana, 2016). Kuwait International bank is the major bank (KIB, 2016) and Boubyan Bank is also a bank of the Kuwait operating in banking industry of the Kuwait (Boybyan, 2016).
All of the selected companies in Kuwait are using both annual as well as interim audit with internal and external auditing so that to increase the scale of the validity and authenticity of the financial position of the company. The major goal of this report is to evaluate the audit process of the Zain Telecom in Kuwait, Viva Telecom, Kuwait Food Company Americana, Kuwait International Bank and Boubyan Bank.
