Duro Felguera, S.A., through its subsidiaries, executes turnkey projects for the energy and industrial sectors, as well as manufactures capital goods in Latin America and Europe. It engages in the execution of single cycle or combined cycle gas turbine power plants, conventional thermal power stations, and desulphurisation and denitrification plants for coal-fired power stations. The company also deals with the erection and overhaul of turbo-generators and auxiliary equipment of thermal power stations, as well as provides commissioning, operation, and maintenance services in energy generating plants. Duro Felguera offers various engineering activities and execution of turnkey projects performed in the mining, material handling, steelworks, petrochemical, and automatic warehousing areas. The company also engages in engineering, procurement, and installation and after-sales service of various heavy electric cranes and related equipment. In addition, it manufactures parts and equipment for various industrial areas, such as the chemical, petrochemical, and wind generation sectors, as well as tunnel boring machines for the infrastructure sector. Further, the company’s infrastructures and services business undertakes turnkey projects for fuel storage facilities, mechanical and electrical erection activities, and the maintenance of facilities in various industrial sectors; and manufactures rail track equipment, foundry components for wind generators, and steel arches, as well as equipment for underground mining and public works. The company has a strategic alliance with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries for the execution of desulphurisation plants in thermal power stations. The company was formerly known as Grupo Duro Felguera, S.A. and changed its name to Duro Felguera, S.A. in 2001. Duro Felguera, S.A. was founded in 1858 and is headquartered in Gijon, Spain.
