Apex Corporation of Zimbabwe Limited operates as a conglomerate in Africa. It operates through four divisions: Heavy Manufacturing, Light Manufacturing, Communications, and Foundries. The Heavy Manufacturing Division engages in hot-dip galvanizing and metal fabricating; supplies local and imported steel to government departments, the agricultural and mining industries, engineering and manufacturing companies, the construction industry, and small scale enterprises, as well as exports to other countries; design, engineering, and fabrication in railway rolling stock, road tankers and trailers, large bore steel pipes, modular steel tanks, pressure vessels, bulk fuel tanks, air receivers, and LPG cylinders. Apex’s Light Manufacturing Division manufactures fibreglass and cultured marble sanitaryware, industrial storage tanks, translucent roofing, heavy and light vehicle components, vehicle accessories, and customized fibreglass fabrication; fire protection appliances; brushes; plastic products; tarpaulins and tents; hexagonal wire netting, diamond mesh, wire garment hangers, mild steel galvanized wire, and allied wire products; mild steel and high tensile woven wire screens; and crop processing equipment. The Communications Division offers printing work ranging from prestige brochures, annual reports, leaflets, and labels to letterheads; supplies printed material; operates travel agencies in Harare and Chinhoyi; supplies a range of stationery and office furniture and equipment; manufactures solar panels; and supplies audio-visual, communication, and solar equipment. Apex’s Foundries Division offers brake drums, wheel hubs, half shafts, and gearbox gears, as well as manufactures items ranging from enamelled sanitaryware to plumbing fittings and traditional three-legged pots. The company offers its products through a network of dealers and distributors. Apex Corporation of Zimbabwe Limited was founded in 1902 and is based in Harare, Zimbabwe.
