Power Industry of Russia in 2006-2010
The main aim of the research is to analyze the development of the Russian power industry in 2000-2005, to estimate the state of generating supplies and indices of power efficiency of the Russian economy, to characterize the reformation process of power industry, to review the main macroeconomic indices of power sector, to give a retrospective analysis of investment projects financing in the sphere of power generation, to estimate prospects of private capital formation. There is also characteristics of investment projects in the sphere of organization and reconstruction of
generating supplies, which are being realized now and are planned to be realized in 2006-2010.
The research “Power Industry of Russia in 2006-2010” is based on the following information sources:
1. official documents of the Russian Government, the Ministry of industry and power engineering, the Ministry of economic development and trade, JSC “ United Power System of Russia”:
- conception of technical politics of JSC “ United Power System of Russia” for the period until the year 2009;
- predictive balance of the holding company “ United Power System of Russia” and power industry until the year 2010;
- forecasts of the Russian economy development, worked out by the Ministry of economic development and trade;
- a concept of the Federal target program “ Power-effective economy” for the period 2007-2010 and future trends ( until 2015);
- the Russian power strategy until 2020;
2. reports, interviews and presentations of representatives of the Ministry of industry and power engineering, JSC “ United Power System of Russia”, etc.
3. sources of foreign and Russian expert and analytical centres, investment companies, etc.
4. mass media sources ( the press, internet, federal and regional information agencies);
5. native sources of power-companies, including JSC “ United Power System of Russia”, generative companies of the wholesale electric power market, territorial generative companies, the concern “Rosenergoatom”, independent power-companies ( “Tatenergo”, “Bashkirenergo”, “Irkytskenergo”, “Novosibirskenergo”), including news releases, data taken from web sites, annual and quarter reports.
In the research “Power Industry of Russia in 2006-2010” was used the data of official statistics for the period of 2006-2010, which had been published before the research was completed.
