Analyzing Nuclear Power in Italy
Italy is now the only G8 country without its own nuclear power, and is the world's largest net importer of electricity.

Italy was a pioneer of civil nuclear power and built several reactors which operated 1963-90. But following a referendum in November 1987, provoked by the Chernobyl accident 18 months earlier, work on the nuclear program was largely stopped. In 1988 the government resolved to halt all nuclear construction, shut the remaining reactors and decommission them from 1990. Italy then remained largely inactive in nuclear energy for 15 years.

The report - Analyzing Nuclear Power in Italy - by Aruvian's R'search, explores the importance of nuclear power in today’s world, with Section One being dedicated to Understanding the Basics of Nuclear Power. The report looks at the basics of the nuclear industry that is, how a plant works, analyzing and understanding the fuel cycle, the various components which are involved in the working of a nuclear power plant, and much more. Economics, issues and barriers, and other such factors are also explored in-depth in this report.

This offering includes a complete analysis of the Italian Nuclear Power Industry, including an industry profile, industry developments, Uranium fuel cycle developments, major players in the industry, and lots more information is included in this research report. This research offering is a comprehensive A to Z guide on the Italian nuclear power industry.
