The catalogue “Industrial engineering of the Russian Federation: 550 investment projects” is the fourth edition in the series of catalogues “Industrial construction”, which has been published by the Informational agency “INFOLine” since 2003.
The main aim of the research is to demonstrate the real investment projects , carried out by Russian and foreign capital in different industries of Russia, and also to create an effective mechanism of building partnership relations between participants of investment projects and interested organizations and/or natural persons, that can be contractors, suppliers and consumers of goods and services.

• by the quantity of realizable projects the most active regions are North-west and Central, which have 25% and 23%;
• a large quantity of the projects for the moment of actualization are at the stage of preparatory (30%) and survey(24%) works. At a null cycle there are only 9% of the projects, whereas, at the stage of construction and installation works – 13% and 24%;
• it is planned to finish almost 80% of the projects in 2006-2008. The minimal duration of investment cycle in industrial engineering is 1-1,5 years. Thus, the projects, analyzed in the catalogue, are in the active stage of realization;
• the volume of investments of the projects at the stage of realization is distributed more or less evenly. The projects at the cost of 15-30 millions of dollars have 16%, 30-100 millions of dollars – 16%, 100-200 millions of dollars – 15%;
In order to describe the projects it was developed a special mechanism, which allows to present the information to a user in a convenient way: investors, contractors, suppliers of equipment, terms and stages of realization of the projects, investment volume, and location of producible goods.
