Yip’s Chemical Holdings Limited engages in the manufacture of and trading in solvents, coatings, and lubricants primarily in the People’s Republic of China. The company’s Solvents segment provides industrial organic solvents, including raw solvents, such as ethanol, ethyl acetate, normal butyl acetate, and mixed butyl acetate that are used in coatings, tannery, medicine, and adhesives industries; and mixed solvents, known as thinners, for the use in the toys, electronics, printing, and furniture industries. Its Coatings segment involves in the production and marketing of architectural and industrial paints, inks, varnishes, and resins that serve a range of industries consisting of construction, toys, electronics, furniture, food and gift packaging, and printing. This segment offers paints under the Bauhinia, Adcoat, and Pak Lam Choice brand names; specialty varnishes under the Golaxxo brand name; and resins under the Da Chang brand name. The company’s Lubricants segment provides a range of automotive and industrial lubricants products comprising engine oils, antifreeze fluid, brake fluid, greases, gear oil, automatic transmission fluid, hydraulic oil, and turbine oil under the Hercules brand name. This segment also provides specialty lubricants under the brand name Pacoil to serve various industries, such as metal processing, plastics, automobiles, aeronautics, electronics, electrical appliances, weaving and timber, and watches and clocks. In addition, it holds the distribution rights in China for various global specialty lubricant brands, including Castrol-Optimol, Castrol-Tribol, Sumico, and Milacron. The company was formerly known as Hang Cheung Hong. Yip’s Chemical Holdings Limited was founded in 1971 and is headquartered in Fanling, Hong Kong.
