Pesticides formulations that target at bacterial diseases account for a small proportion of fungicides in plant protection field; however, they have promising prospects. Relevant enterprises are expected to profit from the market in the near future.

There are quite a number of enterprises applying for prothioconazole registrations and intending to focus on this in the near future. However, none of them have been approved, which may be due to the risks to health of users.

The pesticide industry has entered the era of innovation in China, and this has been furthered as the new Regulations on Pesticide Administration came into force in June. Notably, fungicides will be a priority in the R&D.

Jiangsu Huifeng is to cover the R&D, production and sale of bio-pesticides, botanical pesticides, microbial agents, compound microbial fertilisers and bio-organic fertilisers, while developing high efficacy pesticides with low toxicity and residues.

ADAMA has registered its product Bangchao on potatoes for the prevention and treatment of late blight. Moreover, it is also busy with the registration on cucumber angular leaf spot and grape downy mildew.

The new Regulations on Pesticide Administration stipulates completely different materials for exported pesticides registrations from those for domestically distributed pesticides. This will facilitate the R&D and development of formulations, to apply for pesticide export registrations.

China's export volume of pyraclostrobin soared in the first five months, with a YoY increase of nearly 25 folds.

July has seen 10 fungicide technical registrations in China.

China's new Regulations on Pesticide Administration effective from June 2017 onwards made great adjustments in pesticide regulation, particularly regarding registration. New requirements are also raised for fungicide registration materials.

The new Regulations on Pesticide Administration greatly influences the pesticide industry, then how it stipulates the import and export of pesticides?

Safety production overhaul will be carried out nationwide in the pesticide industry during Aug. and Oct., which may probably result in another round of rectification and reform among the whole industry.

Corn diseases of mid-late stage are predicted to heavily strike China on the whole, based on the current distribution density, crop planting conditions and future weather conditions. Diseases were predicted to peak during late July to late Aug.
