HEADLINE

The environmental policies are getting stricter as the heating season comes, which will result in suspended production of pesticide manufacturers in many regions, and may push up the prices of fungicides in China.

Carbendazim, thiophanate-methyl and diuron markets will be greatly hit by Guangxin Agrochemcial's suspended production in Oct. Fluazinam 500g/L SC was officially registered for the control and prevention of citrus rust mites and citrus anthracnose this Sept.

Besides, there are also universities and institutes that have conducted experiments on fluazinam to study its efficacy against phytophagous mites.

At the end of Sept. 2017, Huaian Guorui obtained environmental acceptance for its 300 t/a cyproconazole 95% TC project. That aside, leading domestic cyproconazole producer Jiangsu Chengyang also announced its plan to expand production capacity. Foreseeably, the supply of cyproconazole TC can be significantly improved in the Chinese market.

Damin Chemical planned to establish propane diamine and isopropanolamine projects, and they are believed to improve the industrial structure and financial performance in the future.

After its successful environmental rectification, Ningxia Lanfeng has so far resumed production and showed improving performance since. Deficit as it has so far remained, the company has recorded reduced loss and is expected to turn around in the coming period.

There is large room for chlorothalonil TC production and export, given that the demand for chlorothalonil is steadily increasing, but supply tightens.

There were 21 fungicides technical registered in China this Sept. These registrations were obtained by 16 enterprises.

The Ministry of Commerce made preliminary ruling of countervailing investigation against ortho chloro para nitro aniline originated in India: there was causality between the subsidy and the material injury.

In the past five years, China has achieved a great success in the prevention and control of pests and diseases.
