D-cycloserine (cycloserine, Seromycin, orientomycin, Farmiserina, Miroseryn, Tisomycin, Wasserina, Cyclorin, Oxamycin, Closina, Miroserina, Tebemicina, Novoserin, Cyclo-D-serine, Cycloserin, Micoserina, alpha-Cycloserine, Closerin, (R)-Cycloserine) refers to an amino acid analog antibiotic. D-cycloserine is a white to pale yellow odorless powder with the molecular formula C3H6N2O2 and molecular weight 102.09. The product is soluble in water, methanol, propylene glycol.

D-cycloserine is used as a common antibiotic in the treatment of tuberculosis; as a competitive inhibitor of D-alanine during peptidoglycan synthesis. D-cycloserine is effective in improving social and communication skills of children with autism. Furthermore, the product is utilized to overcome phobias and treat chronic pain. Moreover, D-cycloserine facilitates activation of the receptor and improves cognition and memory.

Irritation of skin, eyes and respiratory tract is one of the common side effects of D-cycloserine. The product is harmful is swallowed, inhaled or absorbed through skin.
