Essentially, they build upon traditional copper or aluminum busbars by incorporating a liquid cooling structure, allowing the busbar to perform active thermal management alongside its standard functions of power transmission and electrical connection. The upstream segment of the industry chain primarily comprises suppliers of conductive materials, cooling system materials, and manufacturing auxiliaries. Conductive materials consist mainly of high-purity copper, aluminum, and copper-aluminum composites; insulation materials include polyimide films, epoxy resins, and PET; and cooling-related materials include coolants, seals, and piping assemblies. The midstream segment consists of liquid-cooled busbar design and manufacturing enterprises responsible for structural design, flow channel machining, conductor forming, insulation treatment, welding and sealing, and performance testing; by integrating traditional busbars with liquid cooling channels, they achieve high-current transmission and efficient heat dissipation. Downstream applications primarily include power battery systems for new energy vehicles, energy storage systems, supercharging equipment, data center power systems, rail transit, and high-power industrial equipment.
