This allows the supply air to be cooled without direct contact with water, thereby avoiding a significant increase in its moisture content. The technology can be applied in Indirect Evaporative Cooling Units, Indirect Evaporative Cooling Air Handling Units, Indirect Air Economizers, data center cooling systems, and industrial ventilation cooling systems, and can be integrated with mechanical cooling, free cooling, liquid cooling, or other thermal management solutions.

The Indirect Evaporative Cooling Technology market is driven by demand for energy efficient data center cooling, low carbon ventilation in industrial buildings, green building retrofits, and high efficiency air handling systems.
