Hydrogenation Petroleum Resins are water-white or light-colored tackifying hydrocarbon resins produced by hydrogenating C5, C9, DCPD or mixed petroleum resin intermediates to improve color, odor, thermal stability, ultraviolet resistance and compatibility in adhesive and polymer systems. Hydrogenation Petroleum Resins sit between commodity petroleum resins and high-specification tackifiers used in hygiene, packaging, tape, label, elastomer and film applications where low odor, low color and stable adhesion are required.

The upstream chain of Hydrogenation Petroleum Resins is linked to ethylene-cracker C5 and C9 fractions, dicyclopentadiene streams, hydrogen supply, catalysts, polymerization assets, hydrogenation reactors and pelletizing or flaking lines.
