Low smoke halogen?free flame retardant polyolefin oxygen barrier compound is a functional polymer material specifically designed for use in the structures of fire-resistant cables, fireproof cables, and high-safety-level wires and cables. This material uses polyethylene (PE), ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer (EVA), polyolefin elastomer (POE), and other polyolefin resins as the matrix, and is manufactured through compounding modification and extrusion granulation by adding halogen-free flame retardants, ceramicized functional fillers, oxygen barrier fillers, mineral reinforcing agents, and other functional additives. Its main function is to form a dense heat-insulating and oxygen-barrier protective layer in the event of a cable fire, preventing oxygen from entering the cable's interior, slowing the spread of flames, protecting the structural integrity of the conductor and insulation layer, thereby maintaining the cable's continuous power supply capability in a fire environment.

The upstream of the industry chain mainly includes manufacturers of basic resins such as polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer (EVA), and polyolefin elastomer (POE), as well as suppliers of halogen-free flame retardants such as aluminum hydroxide (ATH) and magnesium hydroxide (MDH), oxygen barrier fillers, ceramicized functional fillers, antioxidants, stabilizers, and processing aids. The midstream is the oxygen barrier material production stage, which uses processes such as modified compounding, functional filler composites, and twin-screw extrusion granulation to prepare oxygen barrier composite materials that meet different temperature resistance, flame retardancy, and oxygen barrier performance requirements. Downstream applications include fire-resistant cables, fireproof cables, mineral-insulated composite cables, rail transit cables, nuclear power cables, marine cables, high-rise building cables, and data center cables.
