This report examines general trends and provides analyses of the international textile yarn machinery markets. It also includes a statistical appendix which provides data on installed capacities and shipments of spinning machine - by type, region and selected country. 2010 was a good year for the textile yarn machinery market. Triple digit growth was recorded in deliveries of long staple spindles, open-end rotors and double heater false-twist draw texturing machinery while deliveries of short staple spindles grew at double digit rates. There were sharp increases in deliveries to the textile industries in several individual countries. Turkey became the biggest market for long staple spindles during the year, and there was a significant increase in shipments of single heater false-twist draw texturing machinery to China.
