2016 was a turning point for cigarettes in the UK, as several new tobacco regulations regarding the way tobacco products are manufactured, packaged and sold came into force. Under the second EU Tobacco Product Directive, known as EUTPD2, the minimum size for a pack of cigarettes is 20 sticks and health warnings on packs are increased.
