Dwarikesh Sugar Industries Limited engages in the manufacture and sale of sugar in India. It also engages in the generation and distribution of steam energy with a capacity of 26 megawatts; and manufacture of bagasse and industrial alcohol, including rectified spirit and ethanol.

Divisions

Sugar Division: The company has 2 sugar manufacturing units in Bijnor District of Uttar Pradesh. The company markets its packaged sugar under the Dwarikesh and Bundki brand names through the dealers and sub dealers.

Power Co-generation: The company engages in the co-generation of power. It operates a power plant with a capacity of 17 Megawatts and using 9 Megawatts for captive sugar and the balance 8 Megawatts is supplied to State Electricity Broad, Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited.

The company has two plants, including Dwarikesh Nagar (DN) and Dwarikesh Puram (DP) and it is in the process of setting up another plant named Dwarikesh Dham (DD). DN and DP are located in Bijnor District of Uttar Pradesh and DD is being set up in Bareilly District in Uttar Pradesh.

The company is in the process of setting up Dwarikesh Dham (DD), a green field sugar plant at Faridpur, in District Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, with 36 Megawatts cogeneration out of which 24 Megawatts would be supplied to State Grid. It is also in the process of setting up an additional cogeneration capacity of 24 Megawatts at its Dwarikesh Puram (DP) Plant.

The company sells its sugar in the Central and Western Uttar Pradesh, part of West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Assam, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Delhi, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, and Maharashtra.

The company was incorporated as Dwarka Sugar Limited in 1993 and changed its name to Dwarikesh Sugar Industries Limited in 1994.
