The company, along with its subsidiaries, is engaged in the research & development (R&D), production, distribution and marketing of hybrid agricultural field crop seeds and plant seeds for agricultural use. Around 12% of the company’s revenue is invested in R&D.
Advanta operates in India, Australia, Thailand, Indonesia, the United States, Brazil, and Argentina. The company has five direct subsidiaries. They are Unicorn Seeds Pvt. Ltd. (India), Advanta Holdings BV (Netherlands), Advanta Seeds International (Mauritius), Advanta Seeds Limited (India), PT Advanta Seeds Indonesia (Indonesia). Apart from this it has ten step down subsidiaries located at different parts of the world.
The company is also involved in the export of various seed products, such as sweet corn and field corn seeds from Thailand; rice, sorghum, and mustard seeds from India; grain, forage sorghum, and sunflower seeds from Argentina; and grain and forage sorghum seeds from the United States. The company exports its products to Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America. Further, it purchase and sells seeds internationally.
