Polypropylene engineering fiber (PP engineering fiber) is a short fiber made from polypropylene as the main raw material through a special process. It is widely used in building materials as a crack-resistant reinforcing material for concrete and mortar. It can effectively improve the impermeability, crack resistance, impact resistance, and freeze-thaw resistance of materials, and improve workability, forming a three-dimensional randomly distributed reinforcement network that inhibits the development of microcracks. It is an economical and effective engineering additive.

The upstream direct raw material for polypropylene engineering fibers is mainly polypropylene, including homopolymer polypropylene, some copolymer polypropylene, and modified chips. Its production and price are highly influenced by the crude oil, propane, and propylene monomer markets. Downstream, it is widely used in the reinforcement and modification of cement concrete. Core industries include transportation infrastructure construction, building engineering, water conservancy engineering, and special engineering, effectively inhibiting plastic cracking of concrete and improving its durability and overall performance.
