They are mainly used for surface insulation, passivation, stress buffering, and protective layer preparation for semiconductor devices, circuit boards, aerospace components, etc. Unlike photosensitive polyimides that require ultraviolet exposure and development, they do not have photo-patterning capabilities. After film formation, additional processes such as etching are generally required to achieve patterning.
