Lithium Tantalate on Insulator (LTOI) is a type of thin film wafer material that has piezoelectric properties. It is an anisotropic crystal with different refractive indices in different directions. It can be seen from the measurement result that LTOI exhibits a low birefringence characteristic. In the near-infrared region, the refractive index difference is ?0.01.

Lithium niobate thin film is a thin film made of lithium niobate (LiNbO3) material, which has many excellent properties and has been widely used in the fields of electronics, optics, and communication. Lithium tantalate thin film (LTOI) is a multifunctional crystal material that integrates piezoelectric, ferroelectric, pyroelectric, acousto-optic, and electro-optic properties. It is made of high-purity LiTaO3 material and processed with precision technology, with a thickness between 300-900nm. Lithium tantalate is a positive uniaxial crystal with ferroelectric properties, widely used in fields such as acousto-optic, electro-optic, integrated optics, and nonlinear optics. Compared to lithium niobate materials, lithium tantalate is transparent in a larger wavelength range (0.28-5.5 ? m), making it a beneficial supplement to lithium niobate in achieving ultraviolet coherent light.
