The common particle size range is about 20 nanometers to 200 nanometers, mainly prepared by gas-phase method, plasma method, chemical reduction method, laser pyrolysis method and other processes. It has the characteristics of large specific surface area, high surface activity, strong reaction activity, good conductivity and lithium storage performance. Nano silicon powder is used as a negative electrode material for rechargeable lithium batteries, or graphite is coated on the surface of nano silicon powder as a negative electrode material for rechargeable lithium batteries, which improves the capacitance and charge discharge cycle times of rechargeable lithium batteries. Due to the high absorption rate of lithium by nano silicon, the use of nano silicon in lithium batteries can significantly increase the capacity of lithium batteries (theoretically up to 4000mAh/g). Coating the surface of nano silicon powder with graphite (carbon nanotubes or graphene) to form Si-C composite materials can effectively reduce the expansion caused by silicon absorption of lithium ions, while increasing its affinity with the electrolyte, making it easy to disperse and improve cycling performance.
