Fluorinated ethylene carbonate (FEC) is a core additive developed for the electrolyte of high-rate power lithium-ion batteries. It is the main guarantee for achieving high safety and high rate of lithium batteries, and can enhance the stability of electrode materials. . The electrolyte added with FEC can form an effective SEI film on the surface of the battery electrode, increase the lithium ion migration rate of the battery, and significantly improve the charge-discharge performance of the battery at high rates. At the same time, in terms of silicon carbon negative electrode, FEC can suppress the problem of structural fragmentation of the negative electrode due to the volume expansion of lithium intercalation in the silicon carbon negative electrode due to its thin SEI film, toughness and self-healing properties under the condition of charge and discharge, and greatly improve the silicon carbon negative electrode. It has a long service life and promotes the wide application of silicon carbon anodes. At present, lithium batteries with FEC added are mainly suitable for vehicles in the field of hybrid and pure electric vehicles, and are expected to be used for energy storage in the fields of solar energy and wind energy in the future. One of the technical routes of FEC products is to use ethylene carbonate as raw material, obtain chloroethylene carbonate through chlorination, and then convert fluoroethylene carbonate through potassium fluoride, and further refine to obtain technical grade fluoroethylene carbonate products. The obtained industrial grade fluoroethylene carbonate product is further refined through a series of self-developed purification methods to obtain electronic grade fluoroethylene carbonate product. In the early industry, fluorine gas was generally used to directly fluoride ethylene carbonate (EC) to prepare FEC products.
