India aluminium chloride market is anticipated to increase at an impressive rate in the forecast period. Growing demand from various industries such as chemical processing, wastewater treatment, dyes & pigments, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and others are increasing the demand for aluminium chloride. About 70% of surface water in India is inadequate for consumption due to containments like geogenic pollutants, fluoride, and arsenic. In addition, over 40 million liters of wastewater that enter rivers and other water bodies are treated in limited quantities and are inadequate to consume. Here, demand for aluminium chloride is expected to grow as poly-aluminium chloride is considered one of the efficient water treatment chemicals presently. Besides these, aluminium chloride provides superior coagulation effectiveness and has the broadest pH and temperature application ranges compared to other water treatment chemicals at low prices.

Furthermore, government policies to attract foreign direct investment for increased production and manufacturing policies are expected to propel the demand for aluminium chloride from various industries.

Increasing Demand from Pharmaceutical Industries

Aluminium chloride is used as a catalyst for chemical reactions in pharmaceutical industries. Anhydrous aluminium trichloride is usually used in Lewis’s acid, antiperspirants, or prescription products as an antihemorrhagic agent. Due to its hemostatic effect, it adequately assures surgeons to stop bleeding after shaving biopsies or curettage, even the patients with aberrant body hemostatic systems. Apart from these, it is used in antiperspirant deodorants to make a non-permanent barrier that stops the sweat glands when they interact with moisture. Additionally, aluminium chloride is widely used in different dental solutions. This, in turn has increased the demand for aluminium chloride from the dentistry sector. Almost 85% to 90% of adults in India face dental issues and problems, and about 60 to 80% are children. Among them, more than 50% of Indians with dental health difficulties receive treatment or counseling from familiar pharmacists. Hence, to provide easiness in therapy to a dentist as awareness about dental hygiene and treatment is growing. Therefore, all these factors are expected to propel the demand for the aluminium chloride market in the forecasted period.

Rising Demand for Chemical Processing

In modern development, chemical and engineered product have played a significant role in every industry. Aluminium chloride is used in producing petrochemical products like ethylbenzene and alkyl benzene. As it is a versatile substance, it is highly demanded for the production of paints, synthetic rubber, lubricants, wood preservatives, and some organic chemicals. A chemically processed product like Hydrocarbon resins provides water and weather resistance to Industrial coatings and road marking paints. It is used to manufacture rubbers, coatings, printing inks, labels, adhesives, and PSA tapes. Therefore, the versatile application of aluminium chloride in industrial end users is expected to drive the demand for the aluminium chloride market in the anticipated period.

Growing New Application

Growing R&D for the development of numerous innovative products and applications like developing batteries for e-vehicles. This is expected to create sustainable development and provides the market with a better opportunity in the future. As India holds one of the largest populations with growing disposable income, it is the biggest marketplace for different products. This led to an increase in the demand for the Aluminium Chloride.
