Manufacturing Process and Market Trends:

The manufacturing process of stationary lead-acid batteries begins with gravity casting and mesh forming of lead-antimony or lead-calcium alloy grids. Lead powder is then mixed with dilute sulfuric acid and coated onto the grids, followed by high-temperature curing to form the active material. After drying and pairing, the plates are alternately stacked and fitted with microporous rubber or AGM separators. The batteries are then assembled in a rigid plastic tank through heat sealing or glue sealing. Finally, a measured amount of sulfuric acid electrolyte is injected, and the batteries undergo several charge-discharge cycles to complete chemical activation and capacity calibration.

Although the global market is facing continuous pressure from lithium-ion batteries, it remains resilient in fields such as communication base stations, data center UPS, and grid energy storage, which are sensitive to initial investment and require high-rate discharge. Valve-regulated sealed structures have become the absolute mainstream, and their maintenance-free characteristics are suitable for unattended scenarios. Stricter environmental regulations are forcing companies to optimize lead recycling systems and reduce energy consumption and emissions in the production process. The Asia-Pacific region has become the main production and consumption market due to infrastructure construction needs, and product iterations focus on extending float life and improving adaptability to extreme temperatures.
