The petrochemical industry in Russia has undergone a transformation in recent years. An advantageous feedstock position combined with higher international prices has increased the competitiveness of the Russian petrochemical industry. With the Russian government approving policy to support the petrochemical industry in 2012, the industry has since them grown significantly with the construction of six petrochemical production clusters across the country.
