Three-chamber air suspension is an advanced electronically controlled air suspension system that uses an air spring with three separately controllable air chambers. By opening or closing solenoid valves between the chambers, the system changes the effective air volume and spring stiffness. Compared with single- or dual-chamber systems, a three-chamber design provides a wider tuning range between ride comfort and dynamic handling. When multiple chambers are connected, the air volume increases and the spring rate decreases, improving ride comfort; when some chambers are closed, the air volume decreases and the spring rate increases, enhancing handling response. The system typically works together with an air compressor, air reservoir, electronic control unit, height sensors, dampers, and chassis control software, and is mainly used in premium SUVs, luxury sedans, and high-performance electric vehicles for ride-height adjustment, stiffness control, load compensation, and driving mode switching.
