The CIBT segment develops and operates academic, technical, and career training schools in China.

Sprott-Shaw Degree College Corp. (SSDC)

The SSDC segment operates the Sprott-Shaw Community College (SSCC) business, which consists of career and vocational schools, language training schools, and a baccalaureate degree granting college through 17 campuses in Western Canada. It also has operations in Vietnam, the Philippines, Jordan, and China. It develops and delivers tourism educational systems.

IRIX Design Group Inc. (IRIX)

The IRIX segment engages in full service multi-media and advertising agency services in Canada, U.S.A., and Hong Kong.

Significant Events

On October 12, 2010, CIBT Education Group Inc. announced that it has established an agreement with Northeastern State University (‘NSU’) of Oklahoma to establish a CIBT Global Learning Center (GLC) at NSU's campus. In addition, parties are working towards articulation and program delivery agreements to offer transfer credits and student exchange programs so that students from CIBT subsidiaries in Asia and Canada can further their studies at NSU.

In October 2010, CIBT Education Group Inc. announced that it has established an agreement with an additional 26 institutions in China to expand the company's hotel and tourism division. These new partners include trade schools, hotel chains, and education consulting companies. The agreements range in scope from providing professional certification for the American Hotel Lodging Association program, hotel management programs, hospitality English training programs, and 2+2 degree programs in hospitality management.
