About TMB Bank Public Co. Ltd.

TMB Bank Public Company Limited provides general banking services in Thailand. The bank primarily engages in generating deposits and originating loans. Its deposit products consist of savings accounts, current accounts, times deposit, negotiable certificate of deposit, foreign currency deposit, and nonresident baht account.

TMB Bank offers housing loan, educational loan, welfare loan, and other loans. Its corporate banking services include working capital loan and long-term loan for investment; guarantees, such as L/C guarantee, guarantee of construction/raw material procurement, and electricity guarantee; international trade, including opening of L/C for import of machinery or raw materials, shipping guarantee, and trust receipt; and investment banking comprising provision of financial advisory service on issue of financial instruments, seeking of loans, listing on the stock market, corporate restructuring, and business merger. The bank also offers ATM card and credit card services, as well as Electronic Banking Service, such as Telephone Banking, Internet Banking, and Mobile Banking. As of January 31, 2005, the bank operated 453 branch offices and 953 ATMs in Thailand.

On April 27, 2005, the bank announced that it intends to form an investment banking joint venture with Macquarie Bank, Ltd., focusing on stockbroking, equity research, equity capital markets, corporate finance and infrastructure funds management. Macquarie said the Bangkok-based joint venture, to be known as TMB Macquarie Securities, would also start a greenfield retail broking business. Under the agreement, the bank would take a 51% stake in Macquarie Securities Thailand.
