Accord Business Credit Inc. is in the business of factoring - credit protection, record keeping, collections and optional financing to Canadian based companies, and companies shipping to Canada. Accord's guaranteed protection service eliminates credit risk, preserves customer’s capital and protects their line of credit at the bank.

Accord factors a diversified client base, which includes manufacturers and wholesale distributors engaged in various industries including textiles, apparel, footwear, floor coverings, furniture and toys. Accord has offices in Toronto and Montreal. While most of Accord's business is Canadian based, Accord provides factoring services to many international clients. In 1999, Accord partnered with Export Development Canada (formerly Export Development Corp.) to offer a full service package to Canadian exporters, referred to as ExportEase, including accounts receivable insurance and credit reporting and management functions.

Accord has been in business since 1978. Factoring provides a means for a manufacturer or wholesaler to contract out to Accord the operations that would otherwise be performed by an internal credit and collection department. Accord reviews a client's customer list and, based upon Accord's extensive credit information system, sets parameters within which the client can provide goods to its customers with the credit risk being assumed by Accord. In addition to these services, Accord provides to its clients the availability of financing those receivables prior to collection.
