Financial intermediation, real estate and business activities contributed 24.7% to the gross value added (GVA) in 2019, followed by wholesale, retail and hotels (18.7%). Financial intermediation, real estate and business activities is forecasted to decline by 4.0%, followed by wholesale, retail and hotels by -7.1%, due to the effects of the pandemic in 2020.
The Net FDI Inflows increased by 33.27% in 2019
Luxembourg (US$509.35m) and Netherlands (US$1,147.7m) were the largest sources of FDI in Greece in 2019.

SCOPE
- According to the World Bank's logistics performance index (LPI), transport and logistic infrastructure in Greece improved over the last two years. The country’s worldwide rank improved from 47th in 2016 to 42nd in 2018
- The overall Athens Stock Exchange General Index has exhibited a downward trend over the last year. As of September 27th, 2020 the index stood at 630.32 compared to 870.35 on September 27th, 2019.
