Summary

Financial intermediation, real estate and business activities contributed 21.1% to gross value added (GVA) in 2020, followed by mining, manufacturing and utilities (12.3%), and transport, storage and communication (10.7%), according to GlobalData. In nominal terms, the three sectors are expected to grow by 6.9%, 3.9% and 4.7%, respectively, in 2021.

Three major regions in Norway generated 54.1% of the country’s GDP in 2017 (latest available data), and comprised 60.1% of the country’s population, as of 2019
