Gas Dynamic Bearings (GDBs), also known as gas foil bearings or aerodynamic bearings, are self-acting bearings that utilize ambient gas as a lubricating medium. They generate dynamic pressure effects through wedge-shaped gaps on the bearing surface to support rotating shafts. Unlike traditional rolling-element or oil-lubricated bearings, GDBs do not require complex external oil supply systems, offering advantages including high-speed operation, strong environmental adaptability, pollution-free performance, wide operating temperature range, and long service life.

The upstream segment includes suppliers of high-temperature alloys (Inconel X-750), stainless steel foils, precision machining equipment, and coating materials. The midstream segment encompasses foil structure manufacturing (bump foils, top foils), assembly, dynamic balancing, and quality testing performed by specialized bearing manufacturers. The downstream segment serves aerospace and defense contractors, energy equipment manufacturers, semiconductor equipment makers, and high-speed turbomachinery OEMs.
