Fertilizer industry

In recent years, the export volume of urea has increased continuously, mainly from countries in West Asia and East Asia.

China and the USA are among the top import and export countries. China and some exporting countries of Potassium in North America and Eastern Europe dominate global fertilizer trade. Fertilizer prices tend to fall in 2019.

In Vietnam in 2019, the import output reached xx thousand tons, down x% compared to the same period in 2018. Although the excess domestic production meets domestic NPK demand, shortage of high quality NPK. In 2019, NPK imports plummeted by x% compared to 2018, Urea imports plummeted by xx% over the same period due to continuous cessation of imports in July and August due to weak demand and high inventories. DAP imports in Vietnam have been continuously decreasing, a decrease of x% compared to the same period in 2018. Potassium and SA are the most imported fertilizers because Vietnam cannot produce them, so it depends entirely on imported sources.
